Bought the 85 inch version. The TV did not come with the center stand and they said that the stand is out of stock and I’ll have to wait for 4-5 days to get it in stock. Got it installed in 4 days since TCL did not provide the service team with a stand.
From a TV perspective, it’s a brilliant TV for it’s price.
The HDR performance is great, I have a dark theater setup and the black levels of the TV is very close to OLED levels with a bit of blooming.
Not sure about the number of dimming zones, but should be around 800 for the 85 inch TV.
The sound is decent and the audio performance is comparable to a mid priced soundbar.
The colour accuracy is decent and the TV gets super bright in highlight areas in the HDR mode without much blooming.
SDR upscaling is not great and you may not enjoy anything less than 1080p in such a large TV, but 1080p and 4k looks fantastic.
This TV is worth it’s price and will not disappoint. 5 star for the performance, given the price. I reduced 1 star for not including stand in the box, delaying the TV setup
Edit : Spent a day more with the TV and it’s actually amazing. Deep blacks, HDR+ content looks stunning and I’m reverting to 5 stars
I also see people complaining about the speed and responsiveness of the android TV interface, but it’s pretty fluid. Very fast and never hangs.

Update: After a week of going back and forth with the customer care. Two technicians visiting my house and telling me they have no idea how to fix the tv. I have fixed the issue myself through a lot of troubleshooting, trial and error.
I am now finally happy with my purchase but really unhappy that the TCL service.
The TV is great now, works well in all settings. The local dimming is amazing and hdr is vibrant. Compatibility with my gaming pc is also great.
I would have rated the product 5 stars but considering the service engineers couldn’t even diagnose my issue let alone fix it. I will deduct 1 star
Original Review: I was really looking forward to using this. Went through all the reviews I could find if it’s sister model c805 that’s sold abroad.
There were no complaints according to the review. But I’m facing the issue of lag/frame stutters.
I have no idea of how to fix it.

I recently purchased the TCL C755 65-Inch TV, and it has exceeded all my expectations! The QD Mini LED technology truly brings 4K content to life with vibrant, accurate colors and incredible clarity. The sound quality is equally impressive, delivering punchy bass that eliminates the need for external speakers. The deep blacks enhance the overall viewing experience, making it feel more immersive and cinematic. Additionally, the Google TV operating system adds great convenience and seamless access to a wide range of apps and content. Gaming at 144Hz on this TV is an absolute game-changer, offering ultra-smooth performance that elevates the experience to a whole new level. A fantastic purchase all around!

What impressed me most: Sound quality. Sound is crisp, clear with good bass and almost perfectly balanced mids, highs and lows. The front firing speakers have excellent channel separation and the tv renders dolby atmos and dolby digital content flawlessly.
Due to the tvs high peak brightness and good mini-led calibration, objects in low light HDR don’t look like black blobs. Shadow details, compared to most mid-range LED tvs are excellent and there is no blooming.
What was not so good: Flouting Mini-Led technology as the holy grail of tv technology. This mini-led tv has a fairly good panel, however color calibration is not as accurate as expected – there is a greenish baseline hue in the picture. Generally, the picture tends to lean on the cooler side even if you have set the adjustment to warm.
Picture processing : It’s adequate but not perfect. Even though this is a 120 hz TV, I do notice motion judder every now and then. Even in slow panning shots judder is not uncommon. I think it is due to the older (Gen 2) picture processor used in this tv. In any case this is not expected of a flagship tv.
Operating system /UI: unfortunately, I have to concur with many other reviewers that the UI is buggy. Occasionally, the tv hangs and while watching a series on OTT, google voice search gets activated on its own! In such cases you have to power off the TV and restart it.
I have also noticed some screen fluctuation while watching 4K content. This issue has been flagged by one other reviewer here on amazon. I hope this goes away on a future software update.
On opening the box I was surprised to find that my tcl tv had a lot of accumulated dust and scratches on the back. This tv was definitely not factory packed. This delivery was fulfilled by Amazon and I was least expecting this.
UPDATE ONE YEAR AND SIX MONTHS LATER:
Due to frequent glitchs in TV software like TV not starting for hours together, shutting off on its own and picture freezing etc I contacted TCL India via their email many times during the warranty period but I received no response. Now the situation has gotten out of hand and the TV has stopped working. I called up TCL India customer care number where a chap told me that TCL technical team would contact me within 2-4 hours. He also asked me to rate him by giving him 5 stars since ‘he had solved my problem’. Nobody called me from TCL in the specified time line. After two days I received a call from them and they (TCL) informed me that a technician will be sent to my home to look into the problem.
I will update the progress regarding this so that customers at amazon are made aware about TCL service post purchase.
For now, this tv is lying useless and just occupying space 🙁
Further update 10 days after placing service request : Nobody from TCL has contacted me via email or phone. No technician has visited my home till now.
I will update this review with my final experience 20 days from now ( 20 days after filling the service request).
Finally update on 24/2/25: I checked my service request via case id number on TCL website and it shows that my TV has already been repaired and a part has been replaced! The service request has been closed by TCL now.
I’m sharing this bad experience regarding loss of my hard earned money so that consumers are made aware that Chinese products are as bad as they used to be when we were kids. Nothing’s changed!
